Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (February 4, 2026) - The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) today announced FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as the latest of 16 titles that national teams and players will compete in at the inaugural Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC), set to debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 through 29, 2026. With an expanded format and a focus on national representation, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves at ENC 2026 will give new, emerging players, as well as nations that have historically been underrepresented in major fighting game tournaments, the opportunity to compete and gain recognition on the global stage.

The FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves regional qualifiers will take place July 3-5. Qualifiers will be double-elimination brackets, hosted in each of the following regions:

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, which recently won Best Fighting Game at The Game Awards this past December, made its Esports World Cup debut this past summer in 2025. Players from all across Asia and the Americas competed in the main event, but fans got to witness a historic final between two all-time greats in Goichi "GO1" Kishida (Japan) and Zeng "Xiao Hai" Zhuojun (China). GO1, considered one of the best multi-fighting game players ever, rallied from an 0-2 start to claim the final 5-3, and added yet another title to his impressive collection.
In total, 7 nations were represented at the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves main event at EWC 2025.
