57 players have qualified via regional qualifiers, with many taking on rivals and friends from their own country or territory in order to secure their own spot in Riyadh.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (August 12, 2026) - The Esports Foundation (EF) today announced the completion of the online regional qualifiers for the EA Sports FC tournament at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC), the global nation-based esports competition set to debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2-29, 2026.
A total of 128 individual players will compete in the EA Sports FC tournament at ENC 2026. 64 players representing 64 countries and territories received direct invitations in late July through the official EA FC Pro World Rankings, allocating one direct invite to the highest ranked player from each country or territory.
Now, 56 more players have earned their spot in the main event through online regional qualifiers across Africa, North Asia, South Asia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America North, Latin America South, North America, Oceania, and the Middle East. An additional slot has gone to the player representing Kuwait, who secured the Host Region Wildcard as the next highest-placing competitor from the GCC region.

A historic number of players participated in qualification for EA Sports FC at the Esports Nations Cup, with more than 170,000 individual competitors taking part in the global competition.
Two nations in particular made history by qualifying for their very first ENC title: Costa Rica and Kenya. With their berth in the ENC main event, the total number of countries and territories participating at the ENC Finals climbs to 120. Costa Rica is also one of three countries and territories that qualified two players to the EA Sports FC main event despite receiving no direct invitations, joining Uruguay and Poland.
A highly competitive Western Europe qualifier saw several prominent and highly ranked EA Sports FC professional players reach the main event, including Team Liquid pro Levi de Weerd of the Netherlands, DFernandes from Portugal, Marleyyy from Great Britain, and Yaskow from France. Italy dominated in the Eastern European qualifier, with all three of the top three players representing Italy, and five of the top eight. Ultimately, it was Samugamer_07 who earned the very sought after qualifier spot for Italy, beating one of the top players in the world in Danipitbull in the two-leg final, outscoring him 12-10.
Latin America North also saw one nation dominate the top of the standings, with five players representing Colombia reaching the top six. In the lower bracket final, a Colombian derby between Vanegasp and JMunox__ went the way of JMunox__, who scored six goals against Vanegasp’s three. The Africa qualifier final wasn’t just a battle between countrymen but also between Club teammates, as Egyptian players from Team RA’AD faced off, with AnasBadr getting the best of Xmozaaa in consecutive 7-5 wins after a grand final reset.
To complete the line-up, two Solidarity Wildcard slots remain for underrepresented regions to compete on the world stage, which will be announced at the end of August once all ENC qualifiers have been completed. A special qualifier taking place August 12 will see five more players qualify for the main event.

The EA Sports FC tournament at ENC will begin on November 17 and will conclude with the Grand Final on November 22. The first stage will be a group stage consisting of 16 groups of eight players competing in a round-robin format. The top 64 players will advance from group play to a single-elimination Playoffs bracket.
