Street Fighter 6 is set to make its Esports Nations Cup debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing the iconic fighting game franchise into a nation-based competitive format.

Twenty-four national teams will compete in 4-on-4 Team Battles for the chance to claim victory and national pride, with every round delivering intense, high-stakes action across five days of elite competition.
Fans can expect matches defined by split-second decision-making and crowd-pleasing combos. Each 4-on-4 series features four 1v1 games where every player competes once, with a sudden-death tiebreaker deciding any tied matches. With every point carrying weight, teams must execute flawlessly while adjusting to opponents’ strategies to advance.
The 4-on-4 Team Battle format has gained traction across the Street Fighter community, and ENC brings it to the global stage in a rare nation-based competition built entirely around team play. Teams represent their nations rather than clubs, bringing together the world’s best talent and sparking new rivalries on the stage in Riyadh. Established powerhouses meet rising challengers, offering a global proving ground where preparation, execution, and national pride collide.
The Street Fighter 6 tournament will run during tournament week 3, from November 18th to November 22nd, 2026. The first stage features 24 teams in four round-robin groups of six, with all matches played as best-of-four. The top four teams from each group advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket, also best-of-four, culminating in a best-of-eight grand final to determine the champion.
Qualification is based on a combination of direct invites, regional qualifiers, and Wildcard slots. Direct invites are determined through the Street Fighter 6 National Team Ranking, which aggregates points earned at specific 2025 and 2026 events, with the top three players from each nation contributing to the final standings. The cutoff date for direct qualification is June 28th, 2026.
Regional qualifiers will be played as solo-player, double-elimination tournaments, with each winning player earning qualification and serving as team captain for their national roster. Qualifier events will span 10 regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe West, Europe East, Middle East, Africa, Asia South, Southeast Asia, Oceania, underscoring the truly global reach of Street Fighter 6 competition at ENC.
National rosters are finalized through two structured pathways designed to balance global performance with regional qualification. Nations receiving direct invitations build their lineup by selecting the highest-ranked player from their country in the 2026 World Warrior Ranking as the first roster member, followed by the next three players based on placement in the ENC National Ranking. For nations qualifying through regional events, the regional champion earns the first roster spot and serves as team captain. The remaining roster positions are determined through rankings: the highest-ranked player from that nation in the World Warrior Ranking receives the second spot, while the final two players are selected based on their standing in the ENC National Ranking. If fewer than four ranked players are available, the National Team Manager or Team Captain may choose additional players with administrative approval. This structure ensures that both global circuit performance and national-level results are reflected in each team’s final lineup.

Street Fighter 6 boasts a deeply established global competitive ecosystem, with Japan serving as a perennial powerhouse thanks to decades of high-level play and a rich offline tournament culture. European nations such as France, the United Kingdom, and Italy continue to produce elite players who combine technical precision with aggressive, adaptive strategies, making them formidable on the international stage.
North and South American competitors bring a mix of creativity and flair, with Brazil and the United States fielding teams capable of challenging the traditional leaders. Emerging regions from Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East have steadily closed the gap, producing players with unique playstyles and the potential to upset established hierarchies.
Street Fighter 6 arrives at ENC following a headline Esports World Cup 2025 showing that highlighted the game’s generational depth and international reach. The EWC 2025 grand final saw reigning champion Zeng Xiao Hai Zhuojun defend his title against 15-year-old prodigy Derek Blaz, a matchup that captured the clash between veteran dominance and the next wave of global talent.
In total, 15 nations were represented at the Street Fighter 6 main event at Esports World Cup 2025, setting the stage for an even broader national showcase at ENC 2026.
With only the strongest teams advancing through every stage, every match carries weight, and the Esports Nations Cup offers a definitive proving ground where preparation, execution, and national pride determine which nations rise and which ignite new rivalries in the opening chapter of Street Fighter 6 history.
