Rocket League Takes the Esports Nations Cup Stage

Rocket League is set to make its Esports Nations Cup debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing the high-speed, skill-driven car soccer game into a nation-based competitive format for the opening year in Riyadh.

Forty-eight national teams will compete on PC in 3v3 play for a share of a $1,320,000 prize pool, with national pride on the line across seven days of elite competition. Every match carries weight as squads battle through groups and playoffs in one of esports’ fastest-paced formats.

Fans can expect matches defined by precise ball control, coordinated rotations, and acrobatic aerial plays. Success in Rocket League is determined by teamwork and mechanical skill as teams execute passing plays, clutch saves, and game-winning shots.

The Esports Nations Cup introduces a new competitive spotlight for Rocket League, with teams representing their nations rather than clubs. The stage in Riyadh brings together the world’s top talent in a format where preparation, coordination, and execution decide outcomes, setting the foundation for new rivalries to emerge.

Tournament Details: Format, Dates, and Qualifiers

The tournament at the Esports Nations Cup will run during tournament week 1, from November 2nd to November 8th. The competition begins with a group stage featuring eight groups of six teams, playing a round-robin format with best-of-five matches to determine advancement. The top 16 teams then move into a single-elimination playoff bracket, where every series is a best-of-seven and every game can swing a nation’s path to victory.

Qualification for the event is determined using the official RLCS Ranking, with a cut-off date of May 24th. Additional qualifying teams will be decided through Esports Nations Cup qualifiers, operated by EFG, using a double-elimination bracket to select the final lineups.

The World’s Top Nations Collide

Rocket League has developed a highly competitive international scene, with powerhouse squads from Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East dominating global competition. While historically strong regions exist, the ENC format ensures that any nation can rise to the occasion, creating high-stakes matchups where precision, teamwork, and clutch plays decide outcomes.

With only the strongest teams advancing through each stage, every match carries lasting consequences, making the Esports Nations Cup a definitive proving ground where skill, coordination, and national pride shape the opening chapter of Rocket League history and ignite new rivalries.
