Apex Legends is set to make its Esports Nations Cup debut, bringing the fast-paced battle royale into a nation-based competitive format for the opening year in Riyadh.

Forty national teams will compete on PC in battle royale play for a share of a $1,200,000 prize pool, with national pride on the line across seven days of elite competition. Every match carries weight as squads fight for survival and positioning in one of esports’ most demanding formats.
Fans can expect matches defined by sprawling maps filled with constant strategic tension. Success in Apex Legends is determined by sharp gunplay, coordinated use of each Legend’s abilities, and team decision-making under pressure as squads adapt to unpredictable engagements and shifting conditions across each drop.
The Esports Nations Cup introduces a new competitive spotlight for Apex Legends, with teams representing their nations rather than clubs. The stage in Riyadh brings together the world’s best talent in a format where preparation and coordination decide outcomes, setting the foundation for new rivalries to emerge.
The tournament at the Esports Nations Cup will run during tournament week 4, from November 26thrd to November 29th. The competition begins with a group stage featuring four groups of ten teams, with six matches played within each group to determine advancement. The top squads then progress to a match point finals stage with 20 teams, where every point and placement matters in the fight for national glory.
Qualification for the event is determined using official ALGS Championship Points, with a cut-off date of July 13th. Additional qualifying teams will be decided through Esports Nations Cup qualifiers, held from August 1st to August 2nd, using a first-stage open round format followed by a single-elimination bracket in stage two.
Which team represents each country/territory will be decided via the Online Qualifiers, even if the country is already invited, which take place on August 1-2, 2026. The highest placing roster per country/territory will earn the right to represent their country/territory at the ENC.
Apex Legends has developed a highly competitive international scene, with squads from the United States, Brazil, South Korea, Canada, and across Europe winning international bouts. A growing number of nations continue to close the gap, developing disciplined teams with the adaptability required to challenge the established order.
With only the strongest teams advancing through each stage, every match carries lasting consequences, making the Esports Nations Cup a definitive proving ground where execution and national pride shape the opening chapter of Apex Legends history and ignite new rivalries.
